GTA 6 System Requirements

There are none. Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI and has published no PC specification, so every page showing you a minimum graphics card for it is guessing. Below is what is actually known: the date, the machines it runs on, their documented hardware, and what the electricity costs.

Why you will not find real requirements anywhere

Rockstar publishes PC requirements when a PC version is close to release, not years ahead of one. For Grand Theft Auto V the specification arrived about a month before the PC launch, which itself came well over a year after the console release. Nothing about Grand Theft Auto VI has reached that stage: there is no announced PC version to write requirements for.

The pages ranking above this one have filled the gap with predictions — a GPU model, a RAM figure, an install size. Those are not leaks and they are not estimates from a source. They are guesses, and if you are planning a purchase around one, you are planning around nothing.

Frequently asked questions

What are the PC system requirements for GTA 6?
There are none. Rockstar Games has not announced a PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI, let alone published requirements for one, and it has never published them before a PC release was close. Any page showing you a minimum GPU or a RAM figure for GTA 6 on PC made it up.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Nothing has been announced. The confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S. Rockstar has brought previous Grand Theft Auto games to PC after their console release, but a pattern is not an announcement, and there is no date, no window and no specification to report.
What hardware does GTA 6 actually run on?
The consoles it launches on, and those are documented. A PlayStation 5 pairs an 8-core AMD Zen 2 at 3.5 GHz (variable) with an AMD RDNA 2, 36 CUs at 2.23 GHz (variable) and 16 GB of GDDR6. The Xbox Series S is the least powerful machine the game is confirmed to run on: AMD RDNA 2, 20 CUs at 1.565 GHz, 10 GB. That is the closest thing to a floor that exists.
What does it cost to run?
A PlayStation 5 draws 200 W while playing and 47 W sitting on the dashboard. At 2 hours of play and 2 idle a day, that is $35.02 a year at the US average electricity rate. An Xbox Series S does the same job for $13.47.
When does GTA 6 come out?
November 19, 2026, which is 25 days away. That date is confirmed by Rockstar Games for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S.

Rockstar has not published PC system requirements for Grand Theft Auto VI and has not announced a PC version. Anything presented elsewhere as GTA 6 PC requirements is a guess. The console hardware and power figures here are manufacturer specifications and independently measured draw; the running costs are computed from those and from state electricity rates, and a real bill depends on your tariff and how long you actually play.
